Hate Moss

Hate Moss was born in London from an idea by Tina (Italy) and Ian (Brazil/talia). Their collaboration began in 2017 with the founding of Stock-a Records, an independent label that later evolved into the artistic collective Stock-a Production.

Their partnership developed into a musical project in 2018 with the release of their first single, “Honey,” followed by tours in Brazil, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Their debut album, LIVE TWOTHOUSANDHATEIN, was released in May 2019, accompanied by performances in Spain, Portugal, and Turkey.

In 2019, they were invited by the Biennale to perform during the opening of Heat at the Church of Misericordia in Venice.

During the first lockdown in London, they produced and released Fog.

In May 2022, their second album, NaN, was released by Stock-a Production in collaboration with the Brazilian label Before Sunrise Records. In 2023, this was followed by a tour of over 150 concerts across Europe, the UK, and Turkey. In 2024, the tour continued in South America, with stops in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile, including appearances at several festivals.

During this period, the duo invited friends and musicians from the scene to remix or reinterpret selected tracks from the NaN album. The project was released digitally, one track at a time, throughout 2024.

In June 2025, the new EP Mercimek Days was released via Trovarobato — a work that captures Hate Moss in their live dimension. Recorded live in Istanbul at Karga, it features the unreleased track “Aiknow” alongside live versions of “Remake the Time (Part 1 and Part 2)” and “Birdaha.”

From late August to late September 2025, the band embarked on a South American tour.

In January 2026, the band released their third LP, A Hot Mess, via Trovarobato.

In the first part of 2026, the project has already presented the new album across Europe, Eastern regions including Georgia, Armenia, Turkey and Greece, as well as the UK, performing in festivals and clubs. These shows have attracted growing attention and led to invitations to perform at festivals in South Korea and Japan during September and October. Following this, the band will embark on another tour across South America.

DESCRIPTION

A duo that persistently — and almost deliberately — evades any convenient label. Perhaps it is precisely in this joyful unclassifiability that one of the project’s most original traits resides.

In their fertile wandering through seemingly distant sonic landscapes, one can glimpse the shadow of Italian and Brazilian singer-songwriters from the 1960s and 70s, with their ability to blend personal and social commentary — unexpectedly merging with the lysergic visions of the rave and trip-hop scenes.

There are also abrasive traces of a certain industrial sound. Closing an ideal circle, one can sense a subterranean dialogue with that fringe of the contemporary Mediterranean alternative scene which, in recent years, has reinvented tradition.
